4am

3am rolls around and I wake up in a panic.I hear no cries of hunger from my daughter Kaylee so what woke me up so rudely. Geoff is tossing around in bed because he has a stomach ache. But it's 3am and Kaylee is usually up by 1 or 2. What's going on? I ask Geoff if he has heard her. She's still asleep. Do you think that she is okay? I lay there for a bit and then can't stand it anymore and go to check on her. Yup, she's still sleeping. Wonderful!! How on earth did that happen. So I go back to sleep and she only wakes up around 4. Even better, since Geoff can't sleep I give him the bottle and he goes to feed her while I go back to bed. Then she sleeps in till 9 which is just fantastic. Although I find it hard to fall asleep all that matters is that I am still in bed.

On other news, we bought a van today. We need the van for Geoff's work in spring and we found a really good deal on one so we decided to get it. It's an hour outside of Edmonton and we plan on registering it there to drive back but we don't want to actually have a plate on it till spring when we need it. so we are just going to get a temp permit something or other that lets you go from point A to B. Well the registry is closed. Great. So we decide to drive it back to our house without a plate and just take a chance. I drive really close to the back of the van so people don't notice there is no plate. Hopefully. We park it at our house and all is well.

It's Monday now and I finally have a chance to finish this and put it up. I had a picture of our van but it wouldn't load up on the computer so I will have to take another one. Great news, Kaylee slept through the night again on saturday, 930 till 530!! Hopefully this is the new routine and we will all be getting a better night's sleep.

Time Flies

It is amazing how fast time has been going. I feel like I just had Kaylee yesterday and it is already the middle of February. We have been able to get into a routine with her which is nice. Although I still have to wake up twice during the night to feed her which isn't all that fun. But when I go to get her because she is screaming her little heart out, my heart melts as I see her precious little face waiting for me. The other morning she was crying and I said good morning Kaylee. She stopped crying and just looked at me, waiting for me to pick her up. Those are the moments that make memories that will last forever.

Last night was rough though as she was and still is sick. I slept from 3am to 445am. She has been sleeping all day and now I am worried that tonight could be a repeat of last night. I've been thinking too of what things in my day to day routine do I enjoy the most. I have decided that it is the time that I spend in bed sleeping with Geoff there beside me. I treasure those moments.

Anyway, time is up and I have to get going yet again. I just wanted to check in and let people know that I am still alive, Kaylee is still adorable and I never knew that one baby could go through so many diapers! Thanks for all the comments and love sent to Kaylee. She enjoys the kisses and hugs from everyone and she loves to smile when she gets them.

Some Things that I Have Learned

If you have chapped lips it probably means that you are dehydrated and you need to drink more water. Yesterday I drank liquids of all kinds and my lips are better for the first time in months.
Lip gloss did nothing to help.

Poopie diapers can stink before the 3 month age.

The reason babies usually cry while in the tub is because the water is not warm enough. I'd cry too if I was naked and in a luke warm bath.

Sleeping all day isn't that bad, especially when the only person you have to play with is asleep most of the time too.

Other than that things are going well. Kaylee thanks everyone for all of the hugs and kisses and lovely things that have been said about her. For those of you who haven't been able to meet her in person, we are coming out to Grunthal. Geoff, Kaylee and I will be arriving in Winnipeg on March 9 and will be staying until March 14. We look forward to seeing everyone. I have to run though as another poopie diaper on our beautiful Kaylee needs to be changed.
