Grandma and Grandpa Maczuga bought Kaylee this fantastic red wagon just in time for spring. Thanks again grandma and grandpa!

We were very excited to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Maczuga after Easter. Kaylee had so much fun with them!

For our 2nd anniversary, Geoff and I booked a free three day getaway to the Banff Gate Mountain Lodge and Spa in Canmore Alberta. We had a great time with beautiful weather. In addition to the helicopter ride and gondola ride we went to the Bow River Falls, walked to the Hoodoos, walked around some chateaus, sat in the hot springs and I got a free one hour massage! We toured a small Belgian chocolate factory and ate some free samples. It was a great holiday.

Geoff and I went on a helicopter ride around the Three Sister Mountains. If you look hard you can see me in the back!!

This is the view that we woke up to this morning! My question is, if April showers bring May flowers, what does April snow bring?

Easter

We had a really good Easter as my parents were able to come up on the Tuesday after and spend some time with us. It was for sad reasons that they were in Alberta but Kaylee sure did love seeing her grandparents again.

I wish that I could post some pictures of Kaylee in the great Easter dress that she got from Phil and Linda at her baby shower but no such luck. I am working on finding a program that will work for dial up. I just need a little more time.

Other than that we are looking at digging our basement in the next couple of weeks. That should be fun as the whole process starts. We are also looking forward to seeing my Grandma Maczuga and Aunt Agnes hopefully when they come out to Red Deer. We'll see how it goes, I just need to remember when they are going to be there and then drive out for the day.

And I started working out today. I am on my way to losing 15 pounds. We bought a used EFX machine and today is the first day of many days to the new me. I can't wait to be able to fit into my Jacob pants again and hopefully buy a new bra that doesn't have the letters D on it.

911

Have you ever had those phone calls where you expect your husband to be on the other end when you answer? Of course we all have. I mean, it's that time of day or night and you are at home alone and there is no one else who could possibly be calling you.

That is of course unless your daughter was playing with the phone while you were getting her another diaper since she just pooped for the third time in as many hours and she just happened to dial 911. The phone started making that noise when it is off the hook so I pressed the off button and went about doing the smelly job of cleaning her up. Then the phone rings and well guess who? "Hi maam, this is the RCMP. Is there any reason why you just called 911? Are you okay?"

Yeah well I feel like an idiot. I know exactly what happened and yes I am doing fine. So I end up having to explain the situation and assuring him that no there is no one here who is making me feel uncomfortable and unable to talk on the phone to you. I am so sorry to have wasted your time in case someone else has a real emergency. If my daughter was old enough to explain to her the consequences of her actions I would but she's not. So for now she doesn't get to play with the phone anymore unless she is talking to grandma and grandpa Maczuga.

Kids are fun.

House Plans

We had a great anniversary. The Sawmill has wonderful food. Geoff had a steak that was melt in the mouth delicious and we had a dessert, creme caramel that was fantastic. The movie was good and the temple was better.

As for our house plans, we have purchased blue prints for our first house and have the development permit in to build on the extra piece of land that we bought. We plan to build this house by fall and then live it in for six months. That will bring us to spring and then we hope to sell it. That way we can use the money from the sale of the house to pay for the house that we built and to build our home. Then we will use the plans that we designed ourself for our own home and build on the land that we bought already and hopefully come out in the end with a lower amount in mortgage. We really do hope that it all works out. And if we have to live in the house longer then six months, that's okay because we like the house plan.

Thanks Alyssa for the update on Hawaii, I hope that Ben gets the job and that you guys can stay out there. It must be a wonderful place to live and we really would like to come out and visit. We will start saving up for this winter or next. Aloha!!
