So What's New?

Well, it's been raining most of last week and this week so Geoff can't work. We decided it was time to get the kitchen looking a bit better. We filled all of the holes and painted the walls 'sand castle' which is really nice. Then we removed the time from the wall as the picture shows and put in some new dry wall there so that we can put in the new tile that we bought. Once that is done I will post another picture. We plan to change the lino too to laminate flooring. But that is a project for another day. We are going to put in new lights too after we buy them today. The 70's look just isn't doing it for us anymore. Plus we have to put in copper wiring attached to our aluminum wiring so that we can update the switches too. That will be a fun task that will hopefully not result in the house burning to the ground.

As for us, Geoff's season for decks is winding down, probably mid October and he will be done for the year. He is looking into school for January and until then maybe doing some installation of audio stuff for a company. I am doing great and still taking care of our little girl who now is crawling but still loves to walk more. She is pulling herself up onto everything so that she can stand and look around. Just the other day she figured out how to go from her stomach, to all fours and then sitting up. Way to go Kaylee!! She can also say mum and dada. I spend my free time reading, I am currently on Wuthering Heights, scrap booking in Kaylee's albumn to catch up on her life and learning sign language.

We are looking forward to the grandparents, Maczuga's, coming out in October and being here for thanksgiving. Have a great weekend everyone and hopefully we will have pictures of our new kitchen up next week.

Kaylee is crawling everywhere and likes to try and stand in the tub. Not a good idea because she tends to slip.  Posted by Picasa

Our Holidays

We are back from our wonderful vacation that turned into a road trip. We had a great time, it's just that we didn't realize how much driving we would be doing. It all started with Kaylee and I spending all day Friday getting ready to go. There was so much to do and not enough time in a day to get it all done. Plus having to do everything by myself because Geoff was working was not fun either. A 16 pound baby in one arm and bags in the other left me exhausted by the time we made it out to the in-laws at 1030pm Friday night.

Saturday morning comes way too early for an 8 hour drive with three little girls. Kaylee was an angel though. No complaining, no whining, just napping and good times. We stop at the usual places on the way, bathrooms, rest areas, gas stations, etc. Oh and we did eat at the Terry Fox stop and grabbed some fresh spring water too which aided in visiting more toilets on the drive there!!

We made it to Kamloops and Kaylee got to meet her great grandparents on the Salter side for the first time!! Sunday we had to take Kaylee to the walk in clinic to make sure that she was doing okay. She managed to get a really bad cough and runny nose and I was loading her up with cough syrup. Turns out she'll live. We just need to let the virus take it's course and stop with the syrup.

We also stopped at the Maczuga's in Kamloops to visit with Uncle Ken and Aunt Emily, Kendra, Randy and Cora. It was really nice to see them all again and visit. Unfortunately Kendra had not had her baby yet so we made plans to see them on Saturday before we head home.

Sunday night we left for the Shuswap's and to stay in a cabin/house (Geoff's uncle let us stay at his cabin while they were not there) for two days. It was so much fun. We got the best room, thanks to my bladder, queen size bed, ceiling fan, private entrance to the bathroom, patio entrance to the deck, it was wonderful. Kaylee had a sleeping bag on the floor to sleep on but she's happy with most anything these days!

Monday we spent the whole day out on the lake and the beach. We went on the tube with Kaylee, I will add a picture of that once I get it. Then we went cliff diving. I jumped from the second lowest point of jumping.

Hello From Kaylee!
