Not that she really knows what that means when she does it.

August Update...

Well we are heading out on holidays this Saturday for one whole week!! Lucky us. We are heading over to Kamloops to visit with Geoff's grandparents and Kaylee will meet her great grandparents on the Salter side for the first time. While we are there we hope to meet up with Kendra and Randy and family and Uncle Ken and Aunt Emily. We may even be lucky enough to meet the newest member of the Ellison family as Kendra is due this Friday. Keep your fingers crossed! We will then go camping in a cabin and head down to Seattle for awhile for a wedding but all of that will be updated when we get back.

Geoff is still working hard for our little family with his vinyl decking company. His brother Mark is working for us right now and they are doing some pretty amazing work on some very difficult and time consuming decks. Geoff and Mark managed to get three decks done in one day. Wow!

Kaylee has learned how to shake her head but has no idea that it means no. It's more of a game then anything else but she is cute when she does it. Plus she has just started nodding which is so funny the way that she does it. Baby foods for the most part are yummy. I've learned that sweet potatoes are not sweet and as good as prunes and pears taste, they are not good. On Sunday Grandpa Salter was playing with Kaylee after she had prunes for lunch. Kaylee managed to poop all up her back and onto her dress and all over the front of Grandpa's pants leg from the knee and up. Good thing that we took our family pictures before that happened. Which by the way will be printed up and sent out as soon as we get back from our holiday. Kaylee is able to pull herself up and move around more these days which has led to a couple of tumbles off of the couch and the bed. I am feeling like a mother more and more these days as I seem to be fitting in just right with the worst mother award. I am glad that babies have short memories and that she won't hate me for all of the falls. I know what you're thinking too, just wait until she starts to crawl. Trust me, I can wait.

As for me, life is good. I won't have much hair left soon as Kaylee keeps on pulling it all out. During the day I do the usually cleaning and then we go for a walk and sometimes we get to walk to where Geoff is working because he is close enough. Kaylee loves being outside so she is always in a good mood when we got out. A month ago I met a woman who lives in our complex. She moved here with her husband and daughter Abby. Her name is Ezi (A-zay) from Ontario, originally Nigeria. She is a wonderful person and we get along great. Her daughter is 16 months and she is looking for a daycare while she goes back to work. I was going to help her out next week as her husband is going to be away but now we are going on vacation so oh well. Anyway, it's nice to meet new people and she is fun. Her husband is a minister for All Nations church and that's what brought them here. I am going to help her out with watching Abby during the day whenever she needs me so that will be fun for both Kaylee and I.

Well there are tons of things to do in order to be ready for Saturday....So have a fun week and I will update more when we get back!
