I should be taking a NAP

Why is it that everything I have the opportunity to take a nap, I don't. It's 4pm and Geoff is home from work early, he got home around noon, and him and Kaylee have been sleeping for the past hour. But me, noooooo. Instead I watch a tv program for an hour and snack because it's that time of the day. I tell myself, you are too hungry to sleep, one of your favorite shows is on right now, it takes you at least 15 minutes to actually fall asleep, and then once you do you want it to be for at least 8 hours, otherwise you're going to wake up in a bad mood, you won't be able to fall asleep tonight and what better time to have a bit of peace and quiet to yourself. And now as I sit here typing this, I am tired and want to go for a nap. But it is definitely too late now because the moment you lay on that bed Kaylee's eye's will pop open and that will be the end of the nap that you never really started. So if I stay awake, Kaylee will sleep longer and I will have time to type this blog. How messed up in I because I could have been sleeping for an hour now.

On a good note, I went to bed last night at 10 pm. Kaylee's been going to bed lately at 11pm or later and waking up at 5am. Which is really too bad because she was sleeping from 10pm till 6am which was a lot better. So Geoff was still up watching his movie and I gave him a kiss and said put her to sleep for me tonight, ok. He didn't have to wake up this morning until he wanted to go to work, flexible hours, and I was really tired. Of course I didn't actually fall asleep because it takes me forever to fall asleep and I wanted to make sure that Kaylee went to bed. Sometimes she gives her dad a hard time and Geoff's reply to my getting him to put her to sleep was how do I do that again? To which I just smiled and went to bed. He seemed to manage alright.

So lately it has been just easier to put up pictures of Kaylee then to write anything because she is just so dang cute. But I thought I might add a bit of what's going on around here. Geoff is back doing decks and he is not enjoying it one bit. His body is not used to the whole hard labor thing, and I do admit that he does pretty hard work. So we are trying to figure out a way to still make the money from decking but to get someone else to do it. I'll let you know how that goes. Plus he's only worked for like 8 days now and already he has a tan that is darker than his two brother's that just spent a week in Hawaii. And he's a red head! Go figure.

Kaylee's on vacation. She has me feeding her, and playing with her, and rocking her to bed. I push her around in her carriage and well I just love it. She really has it good. It's great being a mom and being able to stay home with her.

As for me, I try to go for a walk with Kaylee everyday now that the sun is out. I think that she might have gotten a bit of a cold though. In the morning she is so happy to be awake and she gets so excited. Mornings are the best. I am still trying to lose 20 lbs. I'd be okay with 15 so that I could at least fit into my jeans. I have so many nice clothes and yet I can't wear any of them yet. I guess I could try harder to lose the weight and I am sure that by the end of summer I will be there. I wish that I was as dedicated to losing the pounds as my cousin Alyssa is. She is doing a great job in that area for having had her last baby in November. My current thought is that my hips still need to go back together again. We'll see what happens. The good thing is that I haven't gained any weight since Kaylee was born. Other than that, I do the regular stuff. I clean the house, read, watch tv, spend time with Geoff and whatever else comes up.

Tonight we are doing a Whose Coming for Dinner? It's with the people in our church. We meet at the church at 630pm with a dessert or salad and then we are given a house to go to. We don't know where and the host couples don't know whose coming or what they are bringing but they have to prepare the main course. We are going to make Kermit in a Blender which is whipping cream, marshmallows, pineapple tidbits and pistachio pudding mix mixed all together. It can be a dessert or served as a fruit mix? during supper. I don't really care for it, the marshmallow part of it that is, but Geoff really likes it so that's what we are bringing. Plus we have all of the stuff for it and it's easy, which is what I need for today.

Otherwise I signed up for this book club and the first book was The big house in the big woods or something. It's the first book in the little house in the prairies series. I made it to page ten and then had to return the book to the library. I don't think it's going to work for me. I can't seem to put the time together to read. I might try again next year. Well it sounds like Geoff is up and the hockey game is on in 30 minutes. side note. I just made Geoff come down here and kill a spider for me. I dislike spiders. Anyway, Geoff is already trying to see if we can get out of going tonight due to the hockey game. It's playoffs. Oh well. We are going out tonight. I told him he could tape it. Have a great weekend y'all.

Hey Colleen

I just wanted to say that I think you're great. I enjoy reading your bloggy stuff and of course seeing your little munchie. She's so cute.
Don't fret about the weight... everyone's different and I think you look great! Cut yourself some slack... or I'll send Ricky over and he'll make you eat lots of cheeseburgers. :)
Things are going well. The weather was the pits yesterday but we're moving back up in to the high teens so life is good.
Hope you have a great day and had fun at your dinner!
Hugs
K

your dinner sounds fun, how was it. I still plan on sending you an email about weight loss tips but I have not had time to sit down for longer than a minute lately. I love seeing your pics of that cutie pututie!
