Well, I thought that I would put in one last post for the season. Since I left my camera cable at home, this will be a non picture post. As a year in reflection we have had quite an amazing year. We were blessed to sell our home and go to school. Our family has been healthy and happy, warm and safe, cool and comfortable and blessed by so many loved ones. Thanks to our family and friends and the love that we share, our hearts are full and we are thankful to the Lord for all of the blessings we have.

As we have had so many answers to prayers this year, it is our hope that we can help to answer other peoples prayers this coming year by being more aware of the inspiration of the spirit and taking time to recognize the needs of others. We will do our best to be loving and kind to all whom we meet. With love, The Salter's.

Kaylee and I needed shoes for church so we went to payless and got these fun shoes. The girls and I had fun trying on a bunch of different shoes. It's been so long since I have worn anything other than flats. The brown ones are fun for winter and the white ones I had to buy for summer because they were only $6. I will have to get used to walking in a heel with those ones but oh well. I feel more girly and pretty. I asked Geoff what he thought of my new shoes and his response was, you look taller :) Thanks hon.

Sharing a room is going well for the girls. They both go to bed at the same time and usually wake up at the same time or Ariane wakes up Kaylee. When we leave to bring daddy for school, Kaylee's response to being woken up is that she is too tired to get up yet and we will have to wait.

Ariane is still in her crib which is working well.

The closet is only able to hold their dresses and boxed up clothes so we need both dressers for the rest of their clothes. We are so blessed to have so many hand-me-downs.

There was a merry go round where you push and pull on the lever that Kaylee is holding and four people sit on it. It was fun to spin around.

They had a teeter toter. It's abs pipe on the bottom and then metal pipes welded together. The girls loved this one.

He has his own train with a station and a bridge and a tunnel. All the kids loved being on the train, even the big kids. ;)

We bought this fan in Hawaii to help remember the fun times that we had.

We bought this table and chairs for the girls from Ikea on the way down. It works great for them to eat at and then we move it to living room so that they can color and stuff.

On Saturday we went on a wagon ride with Geoff and some of his school get connected freshmen. It was fun for the girls and Geoff is doing well in school.

Sorry this has taken so long but here we are!! We didn't get our internet set up until last night and now I can't find my camera to put some pictures on. Anyway, we are still unpacking but tonight Geoff helped me get the kitchen done so that is good. It is so hard to do things when you are looking for everything in a box. Plus we have to go grocery shopping everyday for supper since we don't have anything in our fridge and the girls don't last more than 20 minutes at the store. There is just so much to do and I think that they are tired of always running around with us to get it done.

Like for instance today. We went to get a state ID card because we need it in order to get a gas account. Luckily right now our apartment manager has the gas account in his name and will keep it that way until we get set up, so we have hot water. We go to the DMV but we can't get a state ID card unless we have a social security number or get declined for an SSN. So we drive to Idaho Falls to ask to be declined an SSN which thankfully only took 30 min to drive there and then 30 min to wait and they printed it up right away. Then we go back to the DMV and Geoff gets a ID card. We phone the Gas company to set up our account by using the managers phone in the office because we don't have a phone set up yet. Now they tell Geoff that he can't have an account unless we have a phone number. RRRRRR...then when we do have a phone number he needs to fax in all the information, with a fax that we don't have, and phone them to tell them that we faxed it and then we can have a gas account!! So frustrating.

So tomorrow we will get a cell phone so that we can get a gas account in our name and then hopefully figure out how to get money into the bank that we would like to go with that will give us a debit card but no credit card because we don't have an SSN. Good times!! Although the bank does seem really nice and we would have a no fee account. Plus more unpacking for tomorrow. not looking forward to that either.

New Home

Well, we went down to Rexburg this weekend to find a new home and we did. It seems there was just old stuff and new stuff, nothing really in the middle. So we found a three bedroom apartment that is brand new, we are the first tenants and we got a deal on it, about 100 dollars less than what they wanted. It has two bathrooms which we don't really need but is nice and a washer and dryer included which is good because we sold ours with the house. We only have to pay gas, electricity and phone. Our internet is free and there is A/C. It is a nice place we just have to get used to textured walls and shag carpet which is the norm down there.

The clubhouse has a fitness room, theatre room, kitchen and dining area, pool table ping pong table and outside a playground for the girls and a pool in summer that is a hottub in winter.(no extra cost for this) It should be really nice. We had a garage sale this weekend and got rid of a bunch of stuff but we will downsize even more before we move. There is splash park really close which will be fun, we can see the temple from where we live and the school is close too so that Geoff can ride his bike there. It should be fun!!

SOLD

We are happy to say that our house is SOLD. We have waited for almost a year for our house to sell so that we can move down to Rexburg, Idaho so that Geoff can attend BYUI. He is going to study for a teacher of French and Spanish and he starts on September 10th. The possession date is August 14th and so hopefully everything will be ready by then. We are going down to Idaho this weekend to find a place to live. We are on the waiting list for student housing but there is nothing available until winter. We feel so blessed to have our house sold and with enough money left over to live and attend school for the next four years without having to go into debt. Thanks again to both of our parents who helped to build our house and make this possible for us. Without them none of this would be happening.

New Bikes and No More Chickens

Kaylee's friend Cameron gave us his old bike and Kaylee is having fun riding it up and done the road. She is becoming a pro biker on training wheels!!

last weekend we helped Grandma and Grandpa Salter to butcher chickens for our third year. Kaylee was a big help. She helped fill the pool and put the chickens in it. She helped clean the chickens with me. Grandpa gave her a biology lesson on chicken hearts, livers and lungs. She helped daddy round them up into the chicken coop and consoled them after they had their heads chopped off. She is totally fine with everything that happened and she knows that they are now sunday dinner. Fortunately Ariane had a nap through the whole thing.

We really enjoyed our visit with the grandparents. We are all sad that they have to go back home. Hopefully it won't be too long before we see them again. Pictures from our week will be up tomorrow.

We went to the waterpark and the zoo and the girls had a great time. On the weekend we went down to Red Deer for Zoey and Uncle Phil's birthday. Kendra and Randy were out with their children, Great Grandma Maczuga, Uncle Ken and Trevor and Charlotte who live in Red Deer. It was fun times except for the part where my children took turns being sick.

Ariane threw up all day Saturday and Kaylee threw up all day Sunday. They both had dierreah and I ran out of clothes by Sunday night. To top it all off, as Great Grandma was saying goodbye Ariane gave a final vomit all over me and the floor and the bathroom floor. It was horrible. Luckily no one threw up in the car on the drive home and Geoff and I are not sick. Today both of the girls seem to be doing much better.

Yesterday was a cuddle day. Kaylee spent the day laying on the couch, then napping and laying in her room and then back on the couch again. We watched Pinocchio for Family Home Evening and she went to bed around 830pm. Which is not bad for having had a nap.

Ariane on the other hand made up for all of the naps that she missed while the grandparents were out because she was having too much fun to nap. She, after having slept from sunday night at 830 till 7 in the morning, went for a nap at noon and slept until 8pm!!! I didn't want to wake her because when she did she was miserable, had some milk and went back to sleep. I thought for sure I am going to be up all night! BUT she went to sleep at 1030pm and slept till 7am. And she is really happy today and eating again. She hasn't eaten anything since last wednesday I am sure that she lost a whole pound.

Anyway, that's our week. We had fun and it went by way too quick. Enjoy the pictures tomorrow!

Hey family and friends. We are back. I am now able to keep up with blogging and emailing again. Although, I am not a fan of facebook so you won't catch me there. We are doing well as we pray and wait for our house to sell.

So, drop me a note so I can add you on my blog list if I don't already have you on, so that I can keep in better touch with you. My calling changed too. I was the secretary in the primary, pretty comfortable in the behind the scenes work. Now I am the first councellor in the primary and I have to teach sharing time. That's the reason why we got the internet so that I would have access to lds.org for ideas on what to do while teaching. I'm a little nervous but Geoff is my other wealth of ideas because he is a good teacher. Have a great day!! I hope it's not snowing out there, where ever you are. :)

We took Kaylee to her first movie at the Theatre. We went to the cheap seats to see Bolt. It was a funny cartoon Disney movie and she had fun. I saw most of the movie despite the three bathroom breaks and one drink refill errand.

A little update on the new year for our family. We have our house up for sale in hopes that it will sell soon so that we can move down to Idaho where Geoff has been accepted to school. So any extra prayers on our behalf would be welcomed. Geoff enjoys his job at Gem Cabinets and our little family just got over a week long episode of being sick. I enjoy being at home with our girls. Kaylee knows her ABC's and we like going to the library in Onoway for story time and crafts. Ariane is busy walking around and cut four top teeth in a week and a half. Thank goodness for teething pills from the health food store.

Last night Collette and I went to the movies and we wanted to see Get Smart but it wasn't playing anymore so we went to see....

I have not had that much fun at a movie ever!! If you like the songs and are in need of a good time with your best friend or any girlfriends for that matter GO and see this movie!! We laughed and sang and cried and applauded at the end. What a performance. Thanks Collette for taking me out to the movies!!

Collette also introduced me to a new store. Melanie Lynn. Now the prices are ridiculously expensive but if you look at the stuff on sale it's not so bad. I got a really nice skirt for 30 bucks (120 quid reg price). The clothes are fun and hip so if you haven't been yet, check it out.

Maczuga Reunion August Long 2008

We had such a good time at our family reunion this year. The Maczuga's have not gotten together in many years and this was our first official reunion. It was really nice to have everyone here in Grunthal and to see them. We had tons of food and activities to keep us busy even though it rained a bit everyday. Santa came to visit the kids because we can't all get together for Christmas every year so we did a gift exchange. We played at the pool and had fireworks in the evening. Everyone went golfing while the kids had games and activities. It was fun and we are sad to be going home today. It was nice to spend the week with Grandma and Grandpa.

Kaylee spent the whole two hours jumping into the water and then getting out and jumping again. She would jump in even when I wasn't ready to catch her. She had so much fun!!

Wednesday morning Melissa set up the astro jump so the girls could play in it. Us big girls played in it too. It sure is fun.

We went to the heritage museum during the day. Kaylee was running so fast on the board walk that her sandal got caught on one of the planks and she did a nose dive and then skidded on it. She had a bleeding nose and scratches but managed to live another day.

Mini golfing. Emily was really good but Kaylee got tired of having to hit the ball a million times and she would just pick it up and put it in the hole.

We celebrated Judy's birthday on Wednesday night. Cherry flip and it was yummy!!

The first night at Judy's Melissa painted all of our nails including Ariane and grandma's.

Thursday we had hotdogs around the fire at the lake. It was too cold to go swimming so we played on the slide and swings and at the beach. Aunt Melissa kept the girls fed by roasting their weiners.

Kaylee's idea of good times. Simple yet exciting.

As we pulled out of the gas station and we were at the lights to head home, we got rear ended!! Not the best way to end a trip but we were all okay and now we get a new bumper.

Our friendly neighborhood beekeepers. Last night Geoff, Ted and Glenn had to move the bees to another home. They are all wearing stuff so that they won't get stung and yet Ted got stung three times. ouch. Today they are off to camp for the week. Annie and I leave tomorrow to go to Grande Prairie to visit the cousins for a couple of days. We are excited to see Emily and Bethany and have some serious girl time Fun as Tim is away at camp too. 8 Girls in one house is going to be a blast!!

Kaylee got a princess/fairy outfit from Tim and Barbie. They are our friends with the horses. She loves it.

Our friend Mike finished landscaping our yard on Friday. Now we are ready for topsoil and seed!!

This is Ariane at three months. She weighs 12lbs 3oz and is around 22" or so. She does have a short fuse and can be happy one moment just smiling away and then out comes her lip and she is crying. Makes for interesting days. She has a really cute giggle though.

We went down for a 70th birthday party for my mom's sister and had fun checking out the Treky Days in Vulcan. The girls had fun with grandma and grandpa Maczuga.
